Originally developed by Barry in the early 2000's, this product was designed for increased performance and stability when flying a longline without a load.

Our weighted longline end-covers (or ballasts) are easy to install and compatible with most helicopter longlines. Various models are available for use with our general utility longlines, HEC systems and our insulating dielectric longlines.

Technical Features:

  • Length (varies based on model): 5’, 8', 10' and 12' (1.5 m, 2.4 m, 3 m and 3.6 m)
  • Ballast / Weights: 25 lb and 50 lb (11.3 kg and 22.7 kg)
  • Material (weights): Non-metallic weight strips
  • Materials (jacket): Heavy-Duty Cordura® Nylon fabric with zipper closure
  • Color: Neon Green (Hi-Vis Orange and other colors available)
